PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya No.01 Kankarbagh, Patna was established in 1964 and has carved a niche for itself with 57 years of pursuing excellence in Education to nurture young minds towards nation building. In Primary section from the year 2015, on every alternate Fridays, parents of class from I to V had started taking one hour session for the tiny tots, mainly based on learning by doing. Simple principles and concepts of science are shown to the children. The children also got a chance on hands-on experiments like for class-I blowing balloons to understand that air occupies space etc.
The school has allotted one hour sessions once in a month this year for the parents to come and share their ideas to the children of class I to V. The vidyalaya is really grateful for this.
The school has a very strong PTA Body constituted as per KVS norms with one representative from class I to XII and PTA Executive Meetings are conducted on the last Saturday of each month followed by reviews and follow up. The Vidyalaya promotes the concept of class parent representatives where each class has two parent representatives who voice parental opinions, coordinate and assist the school in arriving at viable suggestions to problems for the month and help in the overall development of the school.

Empowering primary and secondary students, our English Language Lab, interconnected via LAN, cultivates robust communication skills, fostering linguistic proficiency and confidence in a technologically integrated learning environment. Utilizing Wordsworth Language Lab software, our teachers conduct classes as per schedule.

In celebration of birthdays, our school embraces a wholesome approach by distributing homemade sweets. This initiative not only fosters a sense of community but also promotes healthy food habits among students. By opting for homemade treats, we contribute to a plastic-free environment, aligning with our commitment to sustainability. This practice instills values of well-being, environmental consciousness, and community spirit, creating a positive and responsible atmosphere within our school community.

Classes to be engaged by IIT, Patna scholars. This visionary concept involves engaging Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship (PMRF) scholars to conduct classes in PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya No.01 Kankarbagh, Patna when our teachers are æ absent or on leave or when contractual teachers are unavailable. The school collaborates with PRMF students from IIT Patna to arrange for substitute classes when teachers are on leave. A WhatsApp group has been created to facilitate scheduling and communication.

A google form is shared on the group to ensure that PRMF students are available for a full week or some days of week. They are informed one day prior by making arrangement for their classes. Our school two teacher are monitoring the weekly updates and arrangement of the same.
